1990年代製造のトレインスポッティング（Trainspotting）のムービーTシャツです。1996年製作のイギリス映画、ダニー・ボイル監督作品です。このTrainspottingという単語は、一般的には「鉄道オタク」のことを指すそうです。しかしこの映画の舞台であるスコットランドでは、薬物に手を染めた人々が使われなくなった鉄道操車場を溜まり場にしていたことから、“薬物中毒”を指す隠語として使われていました。映画のストーリーも、薬物に溺れ葛藤する若者の姿が描かれています。
このようにイギリスの闇の文化を描く映画のため、ブラックな内容が多いですが、その分当時の現状をありのままに表現している作品です。また90年代イギリスファッションカルチャーも知ることができます。映画を知っている方も、そうで無い方にもキッカケになるアイテムです。
